Day 10 Part II: Farewell Dinner and Goodbyes

CP Intertrade had arranged a very excellent farewell for the SMART team on the last working day. After presentation, the Executive Team of CP Intertrade and Cornell SMART Team along with Dr. Ralph Christy went to Club 99 for the farewell dinner.

Delicious Thai Food, light and relaxing conversation and the overall environment made the farewell dinner very special. The dinner ended with the Cornell University team presenting thank you gifts to CP Intertrade for all their time spent helping the team learn about their company and Thailand's rice industry.

CP Intertrade also kindly presented thank you gifts to the Cornell SMART team

A memorable picture before departing
I just want to end this blog by saying a final thank you to CP Intertade for helping our team learn so much about rice in Thailand, as well as taking the time to help us understand Thai culture and history.  A particular thank you to Mr. Paradon Munro for taking the time to make sure that all of our objectives were achieved while also allowing the team to have some fun!

  1. Hi SMART Team. Trust all of you made it safely back to Cornell. You all missing Thailand's tropical oasis?

Just wanted to let you all know that CP Intertrade had a wonderful time hosting all of you and learning from each other.

In fact, after your presentation, we took the opportunities you noted and have been in the process of revamping he website, adjusting our bag design, and applying this to our entire worldwide market. So, keep an eye out for new changes!

Good luck as well in your February presentation and symposium later in the school year. If you need any additional materials or support, please ask.

Oh...did your blog receive the most visits? We're very competitive. ;-)

    1. Hi Mr. Paradon! Thank you again for all your help with our research and to let us know more about Thailand culture. We also had a wonderful time getting to know your company, the work team and Thailand. I got back to Cornell yesterday, and I am already missing the amazing weather of Thailand!
As soon as we have the information of the amount of visits, we will let you know!
      Regards,
